The Miller House
Only open for lunch on Thursday and Friday, The Miller House is located in a historic house built in 1905. Not necessarily a quick place to eat lunch, they offer delicious meals featuring sandwiches, salads, catfish, meatloaf and more. They also have an amazing bourbon bar that was named a Top 5 Bourbon Bar in the US.

Drake’s is an American style restaurant and sportsbar that offers a wide range of food such as hamburgers, fries, steaks, sandwiches and typical sports bar food. If you want a bowl of hot chili, it’s one of my favorite places in Owensboro to get a bowl of meaty chili.

Ole South BBQ
Also known as a local BBQ staple restaurant is Ole South. They feature a buffet offering a wide range of smoked meats, chicken, pork along with a variety of sides. Ole South also has a local favorite, burgoo if you are wanting to try our local flavors. The buffet is smaller than Moonlite but has plenty of options to fill you up.
Dees Diner
Located downtown, Dee’s Diner offers both breakfast and lunch and has a variety of foods. Sandwiches, burgers, pancakes, bacon and eggs are a few of the diner style foods offered.
Gary’s Drive In
Located on the West side of town, Gary’s Drive In is a small local drive in offering burgers, fries and more. The burgers are delicious, come out fast and are highly recommended.
